Town of Hempstead Lacrosse Academy hosts clinics

The Town of Hempstead Lacrosse Academy will offer weekly clinics, one-on-one and small group lessons, and specialty position sessions for experienced players throughout the summer beginning Monday.

Most weekly clinics begin on June 17 and sessions run from Monday to Thursday, while some others run through Friday.

The Lacrosse Academy will host two-hour morning instruction for 5 and 6-year-olds in partnership and three-hour clinics for youngsters 7 to 15 years of age. All clinics are only open to girls and boys who are Hempstead Town residents.

The academy will host a specialty position clinic for children ages 8 to 15, featuring intensive instruction for players with at least two or three years of lacrosse experience, as well as one-on-one instruction for youngsters from ages 5 to 15.

Clinic prices range from $50 to $70 per child. There is a reduced rate of $50 for additional family members. One-on-one training is $35 per hour with a $90 rate for a set of three lessons and $25 per hour for children who register with a group of three or more.
