The Long Island League to Abolish Cancer and the Town of Oyster Bay are teaming up to sponsor their second annual cancer walkathon Sept. 30.

“Step Up to Stamp-out Cancer” will begin at 10 a.m. at Marjorie Post Park, at Unqua and Merrick roads, in Massapequa.

The town noted that more than 95 percent of the money raised goes directly to hospitals in the region to help combat cancer.
