Performance will be dedicated to the French composer, conductor and teacher, Nadia Boulanger, and will feature compositions by Boulanger’s favorite composer, J.S. Bach; her famous students Philip Glass and Aaron Copland; and works by Boulanger herself and by her sister, Lili. The concert will conclude with Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin, a composer whom Boulanger refused to take on as a student. The performance will be followed by a reception with the artist
