Shuttered Deer Park adult store Teasers has lost a legal bid to reopen while its lawsuit against the Town of Babylon proceeds.
The July 28 decision from U.S. District Judge Sandra J. Feuerstein came as the town’s Zoning Board of Appeals released a decision denying several Teasers requests for variances from town code regulating adult businesses.

The owner of Blind Bat Brewery has sued a Northport property owner for $5,216 in damages after a lease agreement to move the Centerport craft brewer failed.

The Town of Huntington has earmarked an additional $300,000 to pay legal fees to defend a lawsuit filed by the Long Island Power Authority claiming an overassessment of the Northport power plant.
The money will pay for additional legal fees for the town’s counsel in the suit, Poughkeepsie-based Lewis and Greer, and the cost of hiring experts.

Oyster Bay town board has approved paying $119,351 to settle three negligence lawsuits stemming from car accidents involving vehicles driven by town employees.
The largest payment was $72,500 to settle claims arising over a 2009 accident in which a truck driven by town employee Robert Limoncelli rear-ended Pei-Xin Yu’s vehicle on Old Bethpage Road near the intersection with Haypath Road.
