Former New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, a Marine Corps veteran, is joining the board of the Museum of American Armor.

The museum, previously located at the American Airpower Museum at Republic Airport in East Farmingdale, is building its own 25,000-square-foot facility at Old Bethpage Village Restoration.

LI boys go bald, raise $10G for late friend at St. Baldrick's event

Chunks of hair fell from Alex Lessman’s shoulders as the 11-year-old fidgeted in a chair at Howard B. Mattlin Middle School in Plainview.

But Alex wasn’t alone. He recruited 23 of his friends to get their heads shaved Tuesday, raising $10,000 for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation as part of the second-annual head-shaving event for the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District.

Bethpage Federal Credit Union has donated $1.5 million to LIU Post in exchange for naming rights to the college’s newly renovated stadium.
