The Lynbrook Public Library is located at 56 Eldert St. It is open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., Tuesday from 1 - 9 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. (except during July and August when the Saturday hours are 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.).
Greis Park is located between Wright and Horton avenues, south of Merrick Road and North of Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook. The park features baseball diamonds, soccer fields, a beach volleyball court, basketball courts, a roller-hockey rink, and playgrounds. Waverly Park Elementary is located at 320 Waverly Ave. in East Rockaway. It is one of three elementary schools in the Lynbrook School District, and the only school in the district not located in Lynbrook. It accommodates students in grades one through five. (July 11, 2012)
The Lynbrook School District Administration Office, located at 111 Atlantic Ave., is also the site of the Kindergarten Center. The grounds also feature two softball fields and a playground. (July 11, 2012)
Lynbrook High School, home of the Fighting Owls, is located at 9 Union Ave. It is the only high school in the district and it accommodates students grades nine through 12. (July 11, 2012)
Lynbrook North Middle School is located at 529 Union Ave. It is one of two middle schools in the district, both of which accommodate students in grades six through eight. (July 11, 2012)
