Fifteen puppies were rescued from Grand Bahama and flown to New York, where they were taken to Kent Animal Shelter in Calverton through Operation Puppy Lift. The medium-sized puppies are mixed-breed and range from 4 to 8 months old. All the puppies will be spayed or neutered and vaccinated and put up for adoption on the Kent Animal shelter website in about a week. (July 16, 2013)(Credit: Handout)
