Raw reax: HBK returns, Rock and Cena face-off

It’s the “go-home” episode of “Monday Night Raw” in Chicago and here are the results and analysis for some of the bigger parts of the night.

The first segment to open up Raw was CM Punk sitting in the ring gloating about what he did to Randy Orton last week. It was a perfect segment as the Chicago crowd was very hot mainly because it was Punk’s hometown....

The last time fans witnessed The Rock in a wrestling match was Wrestlemania 20 in Madison Square Garden when he teamed with Mic Foley to face Evolution (Ric Flair, Randy Orton and Dave Batista). We may not have to wait that long before he laces up the boots once again.

The Rock said the following in a recent interview with WWE Magazine:

“Making movies is something that I love to...

We’ve seen Snooki brawl on TV. Now we’ll see her brawl inside a WWE ring in an actual match.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi appeared on Raw last night and made an impact by slapping the spit out of Vickie Guerrero’s mouth. Then, she delivered a Lou Thesz press to LayCool that Thesz would have been proud of. Just kidding.

It was announced that the “Jersey...

Rock, Cena showdown could disappoint WWE fans

A lot of people have compared the showdown of Rock and John Cena to that of the match between Hollywood Hogan and Rock at Wrestlemania 18 in 2002.

It’s a fair comparison in my opinion. In both cases we have two larger than life wrestling figures on a collision course. In one guy we have the “younger lion” who is the “it-guy” at the moment and the face of the company....

Triple H's promo on Raw was a slap in the face

Triple H’s promo this past week on Raw did a good job hyping up his match with the Undertaker at Wrestlemania. Yet, I found some parts of his promo that went too far and not in a good way.

Triple H said he and the Undertaker were the last of a generation. That is with out a doubt true. Both guys are the longest running stars currently in the company. Triple H did a great job putting...

Thoughts on Rock-Cena-Miz promos, HHH-Taker hype, Hall of Fame and more

We're getting closer and closer to the biggest show of the year, and last night's Raw took several more steps toward WrestleMania XXVII.

Here are some thoughts:

. I very much enjoyed the hype for the big Undertaker - Triple-H showdown. A lot of people assumed that Shawn Michaels would be the lynchpin for the feud, with the storyline of Triple-H looking to avenge the defeat of his best...

Undertaker & Triple-H return, Cena-Miz build, other thoughts on WrestleMania hype

The WWE laid some more asphalt on the Road to WrestleMania last night with a newsworthy Raw that featured some major returns, hyped some key matches for the big show, and also announced the latest Hall of Fame inductee.

The biggest news of course was the long-awaited pay off to the “2-21-11” teaser video. Alas, The Undertaker arose from the dead once again and returned to WWE....
