LIRR project to get $195M stimulus shot

Some money from the federal stimulus package isgoing to help the Long Island Railroad build new rail lines to theeast side of Manhattan.

Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood says the the MetropolitanTransportation Authority will receive $195.4 million for what iscalled the Eastside Access Project. The MTA is the parentorganization of the LIRR.
