Officials plan flat fare for taxi strike
Taxis would charge a flat fare for shared rides during Monday's planned 24-hour strike under a contingency plan released by the city Thursday.
The plan, which is the same as the one used in last month's 48-hour strike, includes flat fares between Manhattan and the airports --$30 per person for Kennedy and $20 for LaGuardia. Trips within the city are zone based and start at $10 per person....
