Police say that at 11:50 a.m. on Dec. 7, a male suspect walked into the Community National Bank branch at 333 Merrick Rd., presented an envelope claiming it was a bomb, and demanded money. The suspect is described as being in his 50s, about 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall, with a medium to stocky build and having dark hair with some gray. He was well-dressed, carrying an umbrella and wearing a charcoal/gray overcoat and dark pants.

Police say that at 11:20 a.m. on Dec. 11, two male suspects entered Vanity Fair at 10 Farber Dr. and put jeans and T-shirts in a duffle bag, then fled the store without paying for the items. They were seen leaving in a maroon or dark red Nissan Murano.
