Wanted: Burglary; theft of defibrillators

Nassau County Crime Stoppers and the Police Department's Fourth Squad are looking for a suspect in connection with a burglary at a Franklin Square restaurant.

Police say that at 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 19, the suspect allegedly broke the front-door glass at Olivetto Pizzeria & Ristorante at 190 New Hyde Park Rd. and entered. While inside, the suspect opened the cash register, took an undisclosed amount of money then left the building.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Sixth Squad detectives are looking for a suspect in connection with the theft of medical equipment from Suffolk County Community College in Selden.

Police say that at 5:45 a.m. on Dec. 12, a man entered the Riverhead Building on the Ammerman Campus at 533 College Rd. and stole two automated external defibrillators (AEDs) valued at $8,000 each from a classroom.

Surveillance video shows a suspect wearing blue denim shorts and a bright green hooded sweatshirt with pictures of two large skulls on the front and back of the sweatshirt.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS (8477). All calls will be kept confidential.
