Wanted: Credit card theft; counterfeit money

Nassau County Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department are looking for unknown suspects in connection with the theft of credit cards at a restaurant in Valley Stream.

Police say that at 1:28 p.m. on Jan. 28, a wallet containing credit cards was stolen off the counter at the Red Lobster at 606 W. Sunrise Hwy. The credit cards were used in various locations in Nassau County, including by a male suspect at a CVS in Hewlett.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at its toll-free and confidential hotline: 800-244-TIPS (8477), Crime Stoppers Unit Case No. 47-13. Crime Stoppers offers up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.

The Suffolk County Police Department's Second Squad detectives and its Crime Stoppers unit are looking for a woman in connection with the use of counterfeit money in a Huntington Station mall.

Police say at 9:27 p.m. on Jan. 17 the suspect bought more than $430 of clothing at Banana Republic in the Walt Whitman Shops by paying with five counterfeit $100 bills. She was accompanied by two males. All three suspects are described as being in their mid 20s.
