Wanted: Robbery outside store; bank robbery

The Nassau County Police Department and its Crime Stoppers unit are looking for a suspect in connection with a robbery in Hicksville.

Police say that at 12:43 a.m. on July 21, a man used a razor blade to cut another man in the face in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven at 158 Woodbury Rd. The suspect then took the victim's wallet, which contained personal papers, his driver's license, and some money

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at its toll-free and confidential hotline: 800-244-TIPS (8477), Crime Stoppers Unit Case No. 204-13. Crime Stoppers offers up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the county's Police Pattern Crime Unit are looking for a suspect in connection with a bank robbery in Sayville.

According to police, at 3:40 p.m. on July 8, a man entered Capital One at 160 Main St., and handed the teller a note demanding cash. The suspect fled after being given money.

The suspect was described as having a thin build and between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-8. He was wearing a long-sleeved shirt, shorts, knee-high socks, dark sunglasses, and a fedora-style hat.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS (8477). All calls will be kept confidential.
