Wanted: Stolen credit card; stolen tip jar

Nassau police and its Crime Stoppers department, along with the Garden City Police, Department are looking for a man wanted for allegedly stealing a wallet from a doctor's office.

Police say that sometime between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on May 2, a male suspect allegedly took a female victim's wallet from inside her office at 300 Garden City Plaza. The same day, the man and a companion were seen in security surveillance video at Walmart on Jerusalem Avenue in Uniondale purchasing a large-screen TV with the victim's stolen credit card, police said.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at its toll-free and confidential hotline: 800-244-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers offers up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.


Suffolk County police and its Crime Stoppers department, along with Riverhead Police Department, are looking for a man who allegedly stole a tip jar from a local store in Riverhead.

Police say that at 10:15 a.m. on Apr. 24, the suspect is seen on surveillance video walking out of Mexico Lindo Store at 713 East Main St. with the tip jar, which contained about $80 in coins and bills.
