Wanted: Stolen debit card; hair salon burglary

Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department are looking for two men wanted in connection with the fraudulent use of a debit card at a store in Valley Stream.

According to police, at 9:30 a.m. on May 8, two suspects in Target at 2034 Green Acres Rd., acting in concert, tried to use a stolen Capital One debit MasterCard to buy items.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at its toll-free and confidential hotline: 800-244-TIPS (8477), Crime Stoppers Unit Case No. 140-13. Crime Stoppers offers up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are looking a man in connection with a burglary at a hair salon in Holbrook.

According to police, at 12:44 a.m. on Aug. 14, the suspect broke into Headcutter's at 384 Furrows Rd., riffled through a cash register at the front desk and fled without any proceeds. The suspect was described as being in his mid to late 40s, with dark hair and a receding hairline. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with a logo on the left chest and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS (8477). All calls will be kept confidential.
