Wanted: Store robbery; Huntington burglary

Nassau police and its Crime Stoppers department are looking for a man suspected of burglarizing a Locust Valley convenience store.

Police say that at 4 a.m. on July 28, the suspect exited a white car in front of the Locust Valley Convenience Store at 99 Forest Ave., then forced his way in through the front door and took cigarettes and lottery tickets. He left the scene in the same car.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at its toll-free and confidential hotline: 800-244-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers offers up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.


Suffolk police and its Crime Stoppers department are looking for three suspect involved in a burglary at a Huntington garden supplies business.

Police say that between 12:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. on July 14, three people broke into the business office of WPW Growers at 400 W. Pulaski Rd., and took a camera and about $1,500 in cash.
