Wanted: Suspicious fire; cellphone theft

Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department's Arson/Bomb Squad are looking for suspects in connection with an arson in Massapequa.

According to police, at 5:30 a.m. on March 16, a fire of suspicious origin was reported at a residence on Dover Street. The fire spread and destroyed the house. Two residents at home at the time of the fire escaped without injury.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Police Department's Second Precinct Crime Section are looking for two suspects in connection with the theft of cellphones from a Melville store.

Police say that at 5:55 p.m. on Feb. 15 two men entered the AT&T store at 594 Walt Whitman Rd. and took a red Samsung Galaxy S III cellphone and a black 16GB Apple iPhone 4S. The suspects removed a screw on the phone displays and left the backs of the phones on their displays.
