Two Yonkers cops remained hospitalized Saturday after a White Plains man slammed into their patrol car, killing himself in the process, police said.
Brandon Turner, 28, was seen fleeing a location on Glenwood Avenue where police say they heard what appeared to be multiple shots fired around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. Turner was driving through the Getty Square area of Yonkers when he crashed into a marked patrol car on South Broadway, according to a Yonkers police release.
Turner was declared dead at the scene. His relatives told 1010 WINS radio that he had been drinking at a cousin's wedding earlier that night, and they expressed remorse that they did not stop him from getting behind the wheel.
