Man shot in Spring Valley; cops probe heist
Spring Valley police are trying to piece together the circumstances in which a man was shot Friday night.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at 11:10 p.m. near Sherman Avenue. They found a male victim and brought him to Westchester Medical Center, where he was in the intensive care unit Saturday, police said.
Detectives were planning to interview the victim as of late Saturday afternoon. They said the shooting may have a connection to a pair of attempted robberies near Sherman Avenue on Friday night, and said they hoped to put together a composite sketch of a suspect.
Police did not say where the victim is from, his age, or whether he was involved in either of the robberies. They would not describe his injuries other than to say he suffered a bullet wound. An investigation was continuing Saturday evening.
