Middletown man arrested after parking space dispute, police say

A Middletown man was jailed after a dispute over a parking space turned violent, state police said.
Sean Beach, 32, got into an altercation with another shopper in the parking lot of a WalMart store Wednesday on Route 211 in the Town of Wallkill, police said.
The two men argued over a parking spot outside the store, police said.

Beach then threatened the man with a weapon, police said. Information on the type of weapon was not immediately available.
State police were called and they arrested Beach.
He was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, and second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor.
He was arraigned in Wallkill Town Court and pleaded not guilty. He was ordered held at the Orange County Jail in Goshen in lieu of $25,000 bail.
A lawyer for Beach could not be located.
