Aside from this being the location of the iconic and historic Montauk Lighthouse - one of Long Island's most recognizable landmarks - visitors can also take advantage of ocean views and the many miles of untouched wilderness that make up the grounds. Nature watching is a frequent undertaking here, and surf fishing is permitted, as is camping and surfing from December to March.
