Mount Vernon man shot outside nightclub

Mount Vernon police are trying to determine who shot a city man in the buttocks during a scuffle at a South Fourth Avenue nightspot Wednesday.

The 29-year-old victim was taken to Mount Vernon Hospital around 10:30 p.m. with injuries not considered life-threatening. The man, whose name was withheld by police, has been released.

The man told police he was shot by an unknown assailant as he was trying to leave Club Dazzles after a fight broke out.

Mount Vernon Police are asking anyone with information to call 914-665-2510. In addition, anonymous tips can be phoned in to 914-665-2588.
