Mount Vernon police look for man in girlfriend's stabbing

NEWS12 WESTCHESTER: Neighbors say a Mount Vernon stabbing suspect has a history with heroin and has been violent toward his girlfriend in the past. (Oct. 17, 2012)

Authorities Tuesday night were looking for a man who allegedly stabbed his Mount Vernon girlfriend in the head.

The woman suffered a 3-inch stab wound to her head at a two-family home on Hillside Avenue, authorities said. She was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx.

The man is allegedly a drug user, and the couple regularly fought, neighbors told News12.
