MANHATTAN - MTA officials announced Tuesday that monthly ticket holders affected by power issues on the New Haven Line will be able to receive credit toward future monthly passes.
Transit leaders say they hope to have the line up and running by Oct. 7. A feeder cable failed last week at the Mount Vernon substation, prompting widespread outages between Stamford and Grand Central Terminal.
MTA chairman Tom Prendergast says the agency decided to offer commuter credit because of the massive service disruptions.
