NORWALK - Another Head Start program has fallen victim to the partial shutdown of the federal government, this time leaving Norwalk parents without day care services for their children.

Officials with Norwalk Economic Opportunity Now closed their program through Tuesday of this week due to financial concerns. They have not specified whether the move is related to federal funds lost due to inaction on Capitol Hill.

Parents say they were shocked Monday morning when they went to drop off their kids, and were forced to look for alternatives. Staff members say they're equally on edge.

THE SHUTDOWN: How it will affect you

Representatives for NEON have yet to comment on the closure.
