ALBANY - More details about the dimensions of the new Tappan Zee Bridge emerged today.
 
When the bridge is finished in 2018, it will reportedly be the widest bridge in the world. It is also expected to be one of the longest cable bridges in the country.
 
The design, which will cost over $3 billion, includes two parallel spans and eight traffic lanes.
 
It is the largest bridge project in New York's history.
