A man was arrested shortly after midnight on New Year's Day after he got into a fight at a New Windsor banquet hall, police said.

Jeffrey S. Shehadi, 28, of Liverpool, allegedly punched Christopher Stipek around 1 a.m. while the two men ordered drinks at a bar at Anthony's Pier 9, according to a New Windsor police news release. Stipek told authorities that he had never before met Shehadi and that the attack was unprovoked.
