NEWARK - A store clerk says she struggled to fight off attackers during a violent robbery this week.

The victim, who the store owner does not want to identify, says the suspects waited until she was alone at a discount store in Newark, distracted her, and shoved her around.

Security video captured a male suspect punching her in the face and then she was pepper-sprayed by a female suspect.

"For the last few days I haven't been able to sleep because it's like a nightmare and I don't feel okay," the victim says. "I don't want to be here anymore."

She says fought to keep the suspects in the store until help arrived, but they got away with $500 and some hair extensions.
