Arrest in Quran hate crime

A Brooklyn man was arrested Friday and charged with hate

crimes for putting copies of the Quran, the Islamic holy book, in toilets at

Pace University last year, police said.

Stanislav Shmulevich, 23, of 1734 W. 4 St., Brooklyn, was charged with

criminal mischief and aggravated harassment as hate crimes, police said.
