STEVEN BELLONE

DEMOCRATIC

BACKGROUND: Bellone, 40, of West Babylon, is also running on the Conservative, Independence, Working Families and The Bellone Team lines. He served on the town council from 1998-2001 and has been town supervisor since 2002. Bellone has a bachelor's degree from Queens College, a master's degree from Webster University and a law degree from Fordham University.

ISSUES: Bellone's campaign for a third term is predicated on reminding voters what he has done in his first two terms. He touts his paying down of town debt, shrinking the number of municipal employees and enacting budgets that don't raise the town property tax. He said he will continue to push for a new LIRR station at East Farmingdale, funds for revitalization in Wyandanch and expansion of town parks.
