Ex-Leg. hosts top Obama adviser in fundraising event

Former Suffolk Legis. Jon Cooper remains a financial mover and shaker, hosting President Barack Obama’s top strategist David Axelrod on Monday night in a $500 a head fundraiser at Cooper's Lloyd Harbor home.

Cooper’s event is limited to 125 people but also has  $2,500 event chair and $1,000 sponsor tickets which include a VIP reception and photo with Axelrod. There’s even a cheaper $250 ticket for those labeled GEN-44, young professionals.
