One of our sharper readers posts the link to a piece that may well see the forest for the trees — citing as it does the similarity between Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush in their losing the presidency after a single term amid a bad economy. Not that Marxist-like concepts of 'economic inevitability' always hold, but the parallel does spell deep trouble for President Barack Obama and potentially good news for challenger Mitt Romney.
