An Oprah couch potato

By RedEye

Tom Cruise was back on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" Friday, but this time there was no couch-jumping.

"That was a moment, and it was real, and I don't know if I would [do it differently]. I really don't," Cruise said during an interview with Winfrey in his Telluride, Colo., home. He did admit, however, that it seemed to set off a "confluence" of bad publicity for him.

He said his antics were an authentic way of expressing his feelings for Katie Holmes.

In other comments on the show that aired Friday, the actor addressed various topics, according to Reuters and AP.

> He described Suri as "just magic, she's joy, just joy."

> He criticized mean things said in the press: "When someone compares your daughter to Rosemary's baby — it's one thing to come after me. ... But when it comes to my family, my children, that's when I went, 'This is off the chart.'"

>>He believes in God: "There's no way you can be up here and believe there isn't a God."

>>He has a "good, easy" relationship with ex-wife Nicole Kidman.

He's back on Oprah's couch Monday for Part II.
