NEWS12 WESTCHESTER: Jay Savino, the head of the Bronx GOP, has been fired by the Clarkstown Town Board after his arrest on corruption charges. Savino has been charged in the bribery scandal involving the New York City mayoral race and the mayor of Spring Valley. Savino, who was working as a tax lawyer for Clarkstown, was arrested Tuesday and charged with conspiracy and wire fraud. (April 3, 2013)
