Empire may not cover Stony Brook, 3 other hospitals
Empire BlueCross and BlueShield, the state's largest health insurer, has sent letters saying as of Aug. 1, members may be unable to use Stony Brook University Medical Center or three East End hospitals, except in an emergency.
