LI's junior triathlons

They're the youngest triathletes, some as young as 6 years old, kids who've taken up a sport invented by adults in the 1970s. On Long Island, there are nearly a dozen events -- usually biking, swimming and running -- for children from April to October. Here are pictures from three events in the past year at SUNY Old Westbury, Eisenhower Park and Oyster Bay.
