A $2,000 scholarship is available for college juniors and seniors or postgraduate students studying journalism, marketing/communications or health care administration, the Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council has announced.

The Ann Marie Brown Memorial Scholarship honors the late Ann Marie Brown, who served as vice president of government and public relations for the Hospital Council from 1983 to 1993, according to the Council. The scholarship is not for clinical-based study.

The scholarship started in 1994 and has been awarded to one student each year since. It is administered by the Hospital Council’s Communications Committee and the filing deadline is May 12.
