What do you think of pampered pets?

From AM New York

Some pet owners spend thousands of dollars giving their dogs the perfect life with private dog groomers, doggie day care, exclusive clothing and more. What do you think about it? Do you pamper your pets?

I absolutely pamper my pet! She uses Paul Mitchell shampoo and Juicy Couture everything else BUT I also donate to the local animal shelter all the time!

oh, yes baby. I do. My dog is like my daughter. She is a perfect maltese dog. We loved her very much.

Pets are a part of the family, but some people go to extremes. I personally would never spend thousands of dollars on my pet for frivolous things. I find it absurd to spend that much money on a pet when so many people in this country go to bed without food or shelter each and every night.

for every pet wearing a 500 dollar coat, there are thousands dying @overcrowded shelters.give your dog a reasonable, loving home, and donate the excess to help spay/nueter programs and shelters. adog is not a fashion statement or a vehicle for conspicuous consumption.give money to save homeless pets!

If people enjoy pampering their pets, then more power to them. It can be a lot of fun.

Dog owners look to fill an inner void. Think they don't have to obey law or use leash or pickup poop even in park. City is an open toilet for dog urine and poop and stinks from it, summer's bad. A dog bit me off a leash and it turned and bit it's owner! Filth and smell in apts. because of them.

I admit: I pamper my cairn terrier Bonnie! I let her run in the mucky woods and in the muddy fields. i let her roll in grass as much as she wants. and if she picks the stinkiest puddle at the beach, i just happily hose her off!

I love my dog, but this is CRAZY!!! I wonder how many of those pet pamperers would shell out that kind of money on a regular basis to help hungry humans.

Yes, I may spoil them but I can't afford to pamper them. There is a difference between the 2 things. If I had the money, I would probably pamper them as well. Atter all, they are our children. Don't you pamper your children!!
