She is a special-education teacher for Port Washington School District and is the daughter of Sam and Regina Katz of Seaford. The bridegroom is a Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority police officer and is the son of Nina Cohen of Commack and Eugene Caratelli of East Rockaway. The bride earned a bachelors from Seton Hall University and a masters in literacy from Adelphi University. The groom graduated from Valley Stream South High School. They live in Seaford.
