WASHINGTON, N.J. - Two congressmen from New Jersey are
trying to get a new Air Force cyber command for McGuire Air Force
Base.
Republicans Jim Saxton and Chris Smith say it would bring at
least 500 new jobs to the base when it opens in the next two years.
More than a dozen other states are also vying for the new
command, which would try to protect the Air Force against computer
attacks.
Saxton's office says a decision on where it will go is expected
in the next year.
