NEW YORK - An " American Idol" reject who volunteered for
a Brooklyn school is accused of sending inappropriate text messages
to a 12-year-old boy.
Authorities say Colin Leahy was arrested on charges of
endangering the welfare of a child after he made sexual references
in messages sent to the P.S. 236 student.
Leahy could not be immediately reached for comment. His home
phone number is unlisted.
The 23-year-old unsuccessfully tried out for the third season of
the hit prime-time television show.
