Dangers of Organ Transplant Donation
We all hope we never need one, but nearly 100,000 Americans are right now waiting for organ transplants to save their lives.
A recent case on Long Island involving four organs taken from a dead, 15 year old boy, has sent shock waves through the organ donation community.
It turned out the boy had died of a very rare cancer that affects only about a 1,000 people a year, in a population of 300 million. The cancer was unwittingly transplanted into 4 recipients, one who recently sat down and spoke to the CW11.
