Powerball over $300M for Saturday's drawing

No tickets matched all five numbers in the Powerball on Wednesday, so Saturday's jackpot for the multistate lottery game surpassed $300 million.

It marks the second time since August that the Powerball jackpot jumped to more than $300 million; On Aug. 7, a Minnesota man won $448.4 million.

Saturday's jackpot is $317 million, a climb from Wednesday's $245 million, lottery officials said. The lump-sum payment is $176.3 million.

Wednesday's numbers were 11, 19, 33, 42 and 52, with a Powerball of 33.

Nationwide, five tickets Wednesday matched five numbers but missed the Powerball; each of those tickets is worth $1 million.

One of the $1-million tickets was sold in New York, at a wine and liquor store in the village of Harriman in Orange County.
