MTA fare, toll hikes set to kick in on Sunday
Starting Sunday, several modes of movement on Long Island and in New York City will cost you more as the Metropolitan Transportation Authority implements a 10 percent increase in fares on subways and buses.
The fare increase will change the cost of a ride on a subway or bus - including Long Island Bus - from $2 to $2.25. A 30-day unlimited MetroCard jumps from $81 to $89.
