A happy ending for boy on anti-seizure diet
WENATCHEE, Wash. (AP) — Five-year-old Sawyer Malstead had a 50-50 chance that his seizures would return this year.
Since September 2007, the boy has been on a ketogenic diet, a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet for children who do not respond to antiseizure medication.
