SANGER, Calif. (AP) — A Missouri man accused of crossing state lines to have sex with a 15-year-old Central California girl he communicated with through an online video game has been sentenced to more than 10 years in prison.

Federal prosecutors Friday said 27-year-old Edward Stout of Richmond Heights, Mo. will also be under lifetime surpervision and will have to register as a sex offender upon his release. Stout pleaded guilty in September to having an illicit relationship with the Sanger, Calif. teen.

Prosecutors say Stout and the girl developed a relationship in April, 2008 and talked while playing video games on Xbox LIVE.

They say in late January 2009 Stout drove almost nonstop for 30 hours from Missouri to Sanger, where he engaged in sexual activity with the girl.
