Bloomberg, Colo. shooting survivor push gun control
A survivor of the Aurora, Colo., shooting met with New York City's mayor Wednesday to help push the presidential candidates to do more to curb gun violence.
Steve Barton stars in a commercial created by the coalition Mayors Against Illegal Guns, which was founded by Mayor Michael Bloomberg, that reminds voters that 48,000 Americans will die in the next four years.
Barton, who was shot in the neck and left arm during the July 20 shooting that left 12 people dead, said he and the mayor share the same concern that neither of the main party candidates has been vocal enough about the prevalence of illegal guns.
"They're asking to be elected to the highest office in the country and this is one of its biggest problems," he said outside City Hall.
James Holmes, 24, faces 152 charges in the Colorado shooting.
