"I met the woman of my dreams at 34,000 feet. So I figure it's time to continue our lives at 34,000 feet."

That's how pilot Eric Greener proposed to his flight attendant girlfriend, Brandy Hollenbeck. Greener surprised Hollenbeck by addressing the cabin over the intercom on an Alaska Airlines flight from Seattle to Juneau, Alaska on March 18.

"About two years ago ... I happened to meet this beautiful blonde flight attendant, who was sitting there ... chowing down on a double cheeseburger. All I could think, folks, was, 'My gosh, a flight attendant who has the courage to eat a cheeseburger in the terminal is a woman to know," Greener recalled, while Hollenbeck was focused on serving coffee to passengers.

"At one point I thought, 'Someone up there is telling my love story!'" Hollenback said to Alaska Beyond. "But I just kept serving coffee."

Greener had called the other flight attendants the night before about his plan, and they kept Hollenbeck distracted while he boarded and waited in the flight deck jump seat before the proposal, according to Alaska Beyond.

"Brandy Hollenbeck, I've loved you since the moment I met you, and I want to be the man for you for the rest of your life," Greener said over the intercom. "Will you marry me?"
