This photo released by family shows Gerardo Hernandez, a Transportation Security Administration officer killed in the line of duty by a gunman who went on a shooting rampage in Terminal 3 at Los Angeles International Airport on Nov. 1, 2013. Several others wounded. Hernandez's wife says her husband, 39, immigrated to the United States at age 15 from El Salvador and "took pride in his duty for the American public." A gunman went on a shooting rampage in Terminal 3 at Los Angeles International Airport on Nov. 1, 2013. Gerardo Hernandez, 39, a Transportation Security Administration screener on duty at the airport, was killed. Several other people were wounded before police shot and arrested the suspect. Paul Ciancia, 23, who grew up in Pennsville, N.J., was charged the next day with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting spree.
